The GREY EAGLE
On a 1,400 mile passage in the South Pacific
Photo by friends aboard the Sailing/Vessel Southern Cross

Share the adventures of doing my dream of sailing around the world. Have some fun, explore remote places on earth, have unique experiences and learn a bit about our planet.

The Odyssey began in Chicago and the track of the Grey Eagle is shown in the image below.

Along the way, I spent months traveling South America, New Zealand, Australia, Africa, and around the Mediterranean. Many tales to tell!

This post series begins four years into the circumnavigation and about one-third of the way around the world at the western edge of the Pacific ocean.

Source of the above chart: A custom tee-shirt made in New Zealand by charming young couple helping to finance their live aboard life style with their art work.

The pink dashes above show the track of the Grey Eagle to about where the posts begin and the green dashes show the future pian.

I invite you to share this blog with family and friends.

Coming soon Post #2: Evanston, Illinois to the Kingdom of Tonga by air with a stop in New Zealand. “I am back home in my natural habitat.”
